Founding Members

There were 11 extraordinary founding members who put their heart and soul into making LEP a reality. They are recognized here, along with those that were elected as our first Royal Court (executive board) and our amazing faculty advisor:

Empress of the League (faculty advisor): Dr. Finlayson. Her Majesty has mastered the art of writing with a quill while skydiving. Her talents also include going incognito to hide her royal heritage and being an advisor to the League.

Queen of Poetry (President): Amal Algahmi. Her Majesty enjoys extreme snowboarding, short walks on the beach, and daydreaming about what’s at the other end of the rainbow.

Princess of Rhymes (Vice President): Myra Khan. Her Highness is entirely convinced her knight in shining armor got lost in the woods. Or is invisible. Possibly both.

Duke of Scribes (Secretary): Erich Beregszaszy. His Grace has spent the better part of his life dodging the paparazzi due to his uncanny ability to fly.

Lady Marquess of the Tresorial (Treasurer): Jamilah Alhashidi. Her Grace spends her free time practicing underwater basketweaving and planning total world domination. Needless to say, her hobbies are tiresome.

Countess of Expression (Public Relations): Wafa Algahmi. Her Excellency is not related to the Queen at all, although this is a common misconception. She is, however, an Amazonian Warrior, cousin to Wonder Woman.

Viscountess of Affairs (Event Coordinator): Safa Al-Nashi. Her Excellency is a certified Criminal Mastermind with a major in embezzlement and a minor in forgery. At the moment she is probably planning your demise.

Lady Marwa Ayyash. Her Grace spends her time honing her telepathic skills at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. She KNOWS who you are.

Lady Miriam Bukhsh. Her Excellency is an accomplished ninja who is currently available for hire. She is trained in the art of swordsmanship and pasta-making.

Lady Sara Millward. Her Grace breeds lions and other small harmless creatures in her backyard. She is often accompanied by her trusty sidekick, Tiny, a 10-foot, 2000 lb Saber-Toothed Tiger. (Also harmless).

Sir Mohamad Ali Sadek. His Grace is highly armed and dangerous, generally carrying lethal weapons in the form of straws. Do NOT approach unless you have cookies.
